The SAGES CVS Challenge dataset is currently not publicly available. Any use of the dataset outside the official MICCAI challenge is strictly prohibited. Participants have agreed not to publish the data or any methods developed using the data until the final challenge manuscript has been released by the organizers.

Rules & Guidelines¶

The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) is dedicated to innovating, educating, and collaborating to enhance patient care. In line with this mission, the SAGES CVS Challenge provides a platform for participants to develop reliable, accurate, and meaningful AI technology, aimed at advancing the safety of laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures. We expect all CVS Challenge participants to engage in fair and ethical conduct and adhere strictly to the participation agreement. Your commitment ensures the integrity of the challenge and our collective goal of improving surgical AI for better patient care. The SAGES CVS Challenge welcomes individuals and teams from all backgrounds to contribute to this groundbreaking initiative!

IMPORTANT: all participants must sign the Participation Agreement!¶

• Only names that signed the participation agreement will be considered for participating and competing in the challenge. The team's submission will not be valid without each team member's signature (as listed in the Challenge Team Form upon submission). 
• Participants must register for this competition on grandchallenge.org and in the Challenge Team Form, using their real names, institutional email addresses, and affiliations (department, university/institute/company, and address). Incomplete and redundant registrations will be removed without notice.
• Participants can only use the provided SAGES CVS Challenge dataset and publicly available datasets.
• Participants cannot register multiple teams and accounts. 
• Submissions are only complete and eligible for evaluation if the instructions for the Target Task & Subchallenges are followed exactly.
• Submissions are only complete and eligible for evaluation upon submission of a complete Methodology Report. Please see the details in the submission instructions (COMING SOON!).

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in exclusion from the challenge without notice! We look forward to welcoming you to this community of like-minded researchers!
