Step-by-Step Instructions

After signing up for the SAGES CVS Challenge and completing the participation agreement, participating teams will receive access to a uniquely diverse dataset of laparoscopic cholecystectomy videos alongside labels of the three CVS Criteria. The dataset release will happen in increments, which are detailed here. Join us in developing reliable, efficient, and generalizable AI to improve surgical safety by competing in the CVS Challenge. Participants will make one submission, which is evaluated on each of the three subchallenges.

To join the CVS Challenge  please follow these steps: 

1. Register for the challenge by clicking "Join" on the top right of this webpage. 
2. Review and sign the participation agreement here.  IMPORTANT NOTICE: This agreement needs to be signed by EVERY member of the team! Signing and agreeing with the participation agreement is mandatory to receive access to the challenge dataset, eligibility for challenge participation and subsequent co-authorship in the challenge manuscript. 
3. After you have signed the agreement, we will approve your registration request within 3 business days. Please contact info@cvschallenge.org regarding any questions

1. Mark the challenge dates in your calendar. 
2. Join the SAGES CVS Challenge Slack Channel - we will send an invitation link to the email provided on the participation agreement.

4. Check out the exciting prizes for winning teams of the CVS Challenge!
5. Register your team through the Challenge Team Form.

8. Register for MICCAI 2024 in Marrakesh and attend the SAGES CVS Challenge Event (early registration fee available until 25th August 2024)
